Lingsoft and Designers Publish Glossary

Lingsoft Oy in co-operation with experts from the product and service development company Desigence release a miniature dictionary titled Muotoilu tunnissa (Design in One Hour). The multi-channel One-Hour Words series glossary was released at the Habitare 09 Interior Design Fair in Helsinki on 9.13.9.2009.

The publication serves as a fast introduction into the design world. The packages introduces professional design jargon and famous names of both people and products in the design world.

Vocabulary in an Hour

The idea behind Lingsoft Inc's multichannel One-Hour Words series is to choose a subject area and to compress the central concepts into a glossary format. The final product is reminiscent of an encyclopaedia, but every One-Hour Words glossary can be read in just one hour.

Prize winning integrated marketing innovation

In the series format the glossaries are published and delivered over four separate media channels. In addition to the traditional paper version One-Hour Words glossaries can be viewed on mobile phones, downloaded via the Internet as ebooks and heard aloud using synthesized speech audio-books. The New Technology Foundation awarded Lingsoft an innovation prize for the One-Hour Words concept which integrates new technologies and new forms of marketing.
